Ronchi dei Legionari, 14 June 2026. In Budapest, during the 55th General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), the programme for the European Youth Olympic Festival – Summer Edition was officially unveiled; the event is due to take place in Lignano Sabbiadoro from 24 July to 1 August 2027. The chair of the EYOF Commission, Besim Aliti, fresh from a recent visit to the region, introduced the representatives of the Lignano 2027 organising committee, congratulating them on the excellent logistics and facilities, as well as on the progress being made with the modernisation and improvement of certain sports venues that will host the festival’s competitions. On behalf of the commission, I can say that I found the organisation to be excellent, helpful and efficient. ‘All the conditions are in place for a great edition of the Games,’ Aliti stated in conclusion.
