In the heart of Western Friuli Venezia Giulia, San Vito al Tagliamento is one of the region’s most charming historic villages, listed among I Borghi più Belli d’Italia (Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages). The town centre retains an elegant medieval layout, clustered around Piazza del Popolo, which is flanked by the Castle, the Town Hall Loggia and the imposing Bell Tower – symbols of the town’s civil and military history.Among its artistic treasures, the Chiesa dei Battuti stands out, famous for its extraordinary cycle of Renaissance frescoes by Pomponio Amalteo, a pupil of Pordenone, considered among the most important in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Also of great value is the 18th-century Arrigoni Theatre, a small architectural gem that reflects the community’s vibrant cultural tradition. The experience is rounded off by the civic museums, the arcaded streets, cultural events and the proximity to the River Tagliamento, which offers picturesque natural settings for walks and relaxation. San Vito al Tagliamento is an ideal destination for those wishing to discover the authentic soul of Friuli, through its art, history and landscape.

Artistic Gymnastics
Artistic gymnastics is historically one of the most representative disciplines of gymnastics in international sport and has been part of the modern Olympic Games programme since 1896. Athletes perform on different types of apparatus, such as floor exercise, balance beam, uneven bars and vault, combining strength, balance, coordination and precision. The scoring system is based on two components: the difficulty score (D) and the execution score (E), whose sum determines the result of each routine. Artistic gymnastics is today a highly spectacular and technical discipline, featured in major international sporting events, including the Olympic Games and the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), which particularly highlight young talents from around the world. In this context, the facility in San Vito al Tagliamento, home of Ginnastica Sanvitese, will be one of the official venues for the artistic gymnastics’ competitions at EYOF 2027, hosting young male and female athletes from all over Europe in a modern, functional and highly qualified environment.
