Lignano embodies different souls, offering everyone their dream vacation. A place where everything—nature, tranquility, adventure, entertainment, and shopping—is within easy reach.

Judo
Judo is a Japanese martial art based on throws, grappling, and control techniques. The aim is to defeat the opponent using balance, timing, and technique rather than strength, while promoting discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. In competition, athletes fight in weight categories to ensure fair matchups. Points are scored through throws, holds, and submissions. A match can be won by an effective throw, by holding the opponent on the ground for a set time, or through penalties. The competition follows a single-elimination format with repechage: athletes who lose to a finalist get a second chance to compete for one of two bronze medals. Each match lasts 4 minutes. If the score is tied, the contest continues into Golden Score, where the first score or penalty decides the winner. At the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) 2027 the event will take place at the BellItalia Village in Lignano Sabbiadoro
